The M300 has been ordered to accommodate for the increased demand for new trains with the opening of the West Metro track section from Ruoholahti to Matinkylä. 20 of these new trains have been ordered from Spanish manufacturer CAF. The first train arrived for testing purposes in 2015 and the whole order will be delivered between 2015 and 2016. The M300 consists of a single unit that's about 90 meters long and with the possibility to walk from end to end.

Models
My collection includes three M300 trains, each consisting of four cars of which one is motorized and three unmotorized. The trains are manufactured by Spanish Mabar, as a limited edition run of only 400 pieces. The models are originally intended for an analog two-rail DC system, but have been converted to three-rail digital operation.
